Russell Brand Explains Sarah Palin: 'People Want to F--- Her'




A barefoot Russell Brand explained to critics Saturday how his talk show, "Brand X," will soon become more conventional.

But not too conventional. He ended a panel at the Television Critics Association on Saturday by explaining what he believes is Sarah Palin's appeal: "People want to fuck her. That's why they tolerate the other stuff."

But first, about the lack of shoes.

Brand has sold himself as a fast-talking, free-associating, antiestablishment force in show business, and dressed the part for the panel. He wore ripped jeans, beads, and some kind of leather strap on his bicep. His hair, beard and stare suggested a more handsome Charles Manson.

The lack of shoes only helped the image. And that's the conundrum of Russell Brand: Is he a delightfully weird anti-authority figure who somehow wandered into television and films, or someone who got there through canny packaging as an anti-authority figure?

Either way, his look provided him lots of material. Where were his shoes, someone asked.

"They're home with their stepmom," Brand said. He later explained that he had sustained a minor injury from a strap while kickboxing -- "essentially a rugburn." But he also noted that shoes are an often non-essential addition.

"The real question is, why are you all wearing shoes?" he asked.

Adding to the argument that Brand is about show business first, and wild self-expression second: He's making his talk show look more like all the others. It will have guests, including, perhaps, Charlie Sheen. (Brand joked that each of Sheen's personalities could appear.) He won't be so "nuts-out anti-establishment." And the show will look more conventional.

That said, he believes comedians should be free to say what they want. Asked about recent jokes by Dane Cook and Daniel Tosh that angered people (Brand's own Palin joke wasn't so different from ones by Tracy Morgan that plenty of people didn't like) Brand said people forget that comedians are comedians.

"I don't think we should create a state where people are afraid to talk," he said. "That could have much worse consequences."

Kristen Stewart, who has publicly apologised to her long-term love Robert Pattinson for philandering with Rupert Sanders, has been grilled badly by her boyfriend's twitter fans.

A twitter user has gone to the extent of calling the actress a "B*tch" and a "sl*t", the Mirror reported.

"Every woman in the world hates you right now," a user tweeted.

"Kristen Stewart...you had ROBERT freaking PATTINSON and you CHEAT," posted @karleig.

"Kristen Stewart you are such a sl*t! How could you cheat on Robert? B*tch," @paola_garcia7 tweeted.

While many tweets targeted the actress, some users thought that the focus should be on married father-of-two, Sanders.

"While a lot of people are angry at Kristen for cheating on Robert, I feel disgusted at the married director who allowed it to happen. Ugh," @KatDeCastro posted.

Christian Bale was in Aurora Tuesday to visit victims of the shooting at a "Dark Knight Rises" showing.

Victims of Friday's shooting at a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" received a visit from Batman himself on Tuesday, as Christian Bale reportedly stopped by Aurora, Colo.

"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," a representative for the studio told the Denver Post.

The actor, who has portrayed Batman in all three of director Christopher Nolan's films on the subject, had previously released a statement of condolences.

"Words cannot express the horror that I feel," he said Saturday. "I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."

Some photos of Bale in Aurora are available below. The young man in the first photo is Carey Rottman, who was shot in the leg during the attack. Rottman has posted photos of his very famous visitors, including politicians and members of the Denver Broncos.

On the day of the shooting, Rottman posted this Facebook status: "Shot in the leg at Batman. Where is he when you need him. Please pray for everyone there."

 Christian Bale, star of the Batman films, met at the Medical Center of Aurora on Tuesday afternoon with seven patients injured in the mass shooting that occurred during a midnight showing of his new film.

Bill Voloch, interim president of Medical Center of Aurora, said Bale spent about 2½ hours at the hospital, where he met with five people still being treated for their injuries. Two others came from Swedish Medical Center to meet Bale, who stars at Batman in "The Dark Knight Rises.

"The patients were really happy to meet Bale," Voloch said. "They are obviously big fans of his movies. They wanted to see Batman and were really pleased to see Bale."

doctors, Aurora police officers and emergency medicial technicians who were first reponders when James Eagan Holmes allegedly killed 12 people and injured 58 others at Century Aurora 16 theater early Friday morning. Bale spent about 10 minutes with each person.

"It was good for the patients," Voloch said. "We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming."

Bale also spent some time with Gov. John Hickenlooper.

The Medical Center of Aurora received 18 patients from the movie theatre shooting and seven were admitted. Four patients went to Swedish Medical Center.

Voloch said Bale notified that he wanted to visit the injured, but asked that media not be notified. "He just wanted to meet with victims and police."

Among the people Bale visited with was Carey Rottman, of Denver. Friends quickly tweeted out a photo of their visit.

Officials from Warner Bros. Pictures, maker of Bale's most recent film, said Bale came to Aurora on his own.

"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," said an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications.

Another day, another Hollywood sex tape.

Following in the footsteps of Paris Hilton and Kendra Wilkinson, Minka Kelly is the latest in a long line of celebrities to find themselves wrapped in up a notorious nude scandal.

The sexy Friday Night Lights stunner was reportedly caught on camera with an ex-boyfriend in New Mexico in 1998, but it's only recently being peddled out to the public.

Will the video see the light of day?

The 30-minute intimate clip, which is said to be "semi-professional", is up for grabs to the highest bidder.

But there's one sticking point: it is unclear whether Kelly was of age in the racy footage.

According to TMZ, two songs from Brandy's 1998 album Never Say Never can be heard bumping in the background. That record was released 16 days before Kelly turned 18, which could suggest she was a minor at the time of the tryst.

Australian hurdler, Michelle Jenneke's warm up dance has gone viral on the Internet. The viral video shows Jenneke warming up for her pre-final race at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, although her warm up routine looks more like she is dancing.

The 19 year old's warm up routine has received nearly 7 million views on YouTube since Wednesday.

Michelle Jenneke is an Australian hurdler, but she will not be going to the London 2012 Olympic Games this month. However, many have touted her as an up and coming talent who will surely feature in four years time at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

Following her famous dance Jenneke won her pre-final 100 meter heat but failed to win the overall championship title. In the final she ended up coming in fifth.

She has been part of Australia's delegation at the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games, running the 100 meter hurdles and the women's medley relay; in the hurdles, she came in second, and the medley relay team came in fourth.

Michelle Jenneke, the Australian hurdler, who came to YouTube fame for her sexy pre-run routine, has been offered to pose nude by Sex.com.

"[Jenneke is] the right amount of cute and sexy, not to mention her body is clearly in peak condition," a Sex.com rep reported to XBIZ regarding the special offer to the 19 year-old athlete.

"Michelle Jenneke has shown a sex appeal that's uncommon in female athletes and we want Michelle to know that she can use her sexuality to not only raise her profile but also benefit athletes all over her country."

Due to violations to the Austrialian Sports Commission rules, if Jenneke agreed to pose for the website, they could not pay her directly. However, Sex.com claims they would make a "sizable donation" to the ASC because of her work.

The clip of Jenneke was put online on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 and has already seen its views spike over two million. Followers on Twitter have been calling her "The Hottest Hurdler Ever."

Many versions of the video have hit the net including the original and then many others set to music, slowed down, and some even sped up. Jenneke has quickly become an internet sensation and is seeing her face everywhere.

It's a shame that her warm-up routine didn't help her do too well in the race because she ended up placing fifth overall.

The dance done by Jenneke did seem to improve the mood of everyone around her though. Race officials behind her tried to hold back their smiles, but couldn't help and let it slip while the young hurdler bounced and danced.

According to Now Public, the video was taken during the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona.

Jenneke is only 19-years-old and hasn't been able to make the Olympic Team yet. She won a silver medal in the 100m hurdles at the 2010 Youth Olympics and could find herself on Australia's team in 2016. This year, however, she'll have to be satisfied with some internet fame.

A video of Australian junior hurdler Michelle Jenneke's pre-race routine has gone viral, with many remarking online that it was "adorable" and "sexy."

Jenneke, seen in the video below, was running at the 110-meter hurdles event at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona last weekend.

Before the race started, the 19-year-old wore a smile, swayed her hips side to side, bounced around and flicked her finger as a part of her warm-up routine. Her competitors around her also warmed up, although their ranges of motion were much more limited.

When the race commenced, the young Australia blew past other racers and easily won the event with a time of 13.53 seconds.

Afterwards, with the same big smile, she waved to the crowd and congratulated her fellow hurdlers.

Jenneke won't be competing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but there is a possibility she could participate in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, according to bigleadsports.

Her warm-up video, though, has already made her famous on the Internet. It was a top submission on Reddit (with the title "Australia's Michelle Jenneke is one sexy hurdler ") on Thursday and widely circulated on Twitter.

"She definitely looks happy to be there. Infectious," wrote Redditor MrCorrector.

"OMG! She's the new 8th Wonderful of the World.... She's beautiful, nice!!!" stated a vimeo commenter.

Michelle Jenneke's YouTube dance video has gone viral. The Australian hurdler, who did a quirky, yet sexy warm up routine in the World Junior Championship last weekend in Barcelona recently, is taking the Internet by storm with her moves.

Thursday, the Huffington Post did a story on the Aussie track and field athlete, who is known for busting a move just before trouncing opponents at the starting line.

Jenneke, 19, totally dominated her opponents in Barcelona, Spain recently at the IAFF and came in fifth overall in the finals.

However, it's what Michelle does before the runners take their mark that has viewers clicking and sharing her viral dance moves.

The original video of Michelle Jenneke's dance did not go viral. However, a YouTube user put a special touch on it. The footage was slowed down a bit and showed the hurdler doing cutesy moves like she as a cheerleader.

What made it so dramatic was the music woven into Michelle's dance. The song, "Boys (Summertime Love) by Sabrina played along, as if she were really dancing to her theme song.

"Fans are confident this is only the beginning, and expect to see the [Jenneke] wiggling -- and racing -- at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016," reported Sky News on the Aussie's sexy warm up viral routine.

Apparently, her antics paid off; she took first place in the 100-meter hurdles.

Is Michelle Jenneke's dance moves worthy of going viral? If it floats her boat, and she continues to win races because of it, maybe she is the smartest person in the room, ehem, on the track.

According to Bleacher Report, the sports blog With Leather originally posted raw, live-stream footage of the 19-year-old's pre-race routine, but it was taken down and replaced with an "overt celebration of Jenneke and her dancing and running presented in gratuitous slow motion, and with an awful song over it." With Leather was rather unapologetic about sexualizing Jenneke's warm-up dance, releasing its own super slow-motion cut. USA Today took a more sedate angle on what it called Jenneke's "unique way of stretching," writing, "You have to appreciate anyone who enjoys themselves this much." Update: Jenneke's fame continues to spread, and the Australian media aren't holding back on her routine, calling the teenager's warm-up "sexy" and claiming that she's "set hearts ablaze." "Fans are confident this is only the beginning, and expect to see the [Jenneke] wiggling -- and racing -- at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016," Sky News reported. Australian news also added details about the track starlet's personal life. According to News.co.au, Jenneke is a Sydney-area native from the northwest suburb of Kenthurst. "As far back as she can remember, [Jenneke] has had a passion for hurdling, even lining up teddy bears for jumping practice at her parent's home when she was very young," the News Limited wrote. Many members of the media had predicted Carey's participation (she's managed by fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson), while other contenders reportedly include former Idol contestant Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani, Miley Cyrus and more.  Earlier this month, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler officially exited their posts after two seasons, while it remains to be seen whether Jackson will stay with the program.

"It's sad to see them go, but if they're gonna pick a new bath of judges, I think that it's a really great opportunity to find some people that really can give some great, great advice," season 10 second runner-up Haley Reinhart told The Hollywood Reporter at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards. "I know there's names thrown out there, like I just heard Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey and even Adam Lambert, a past Idol. I think all these ideas are wonderful."

Reinhart admits she hopes to see another iconic rocker fill Tyler's shoes on the show, suggesting the legendary Paul McCartney as an option to "come in and fill that gap."

Also speaking with THR at Teen Choice was season six winner Jordin Sparks, who would love to see Lambert join the panel.

"I think it would be great. I think Adam is so talented, his voice is just out of this world," Sparks said. "It would be funny, too, because you would never know what he's going to say. You would have to be on guard, the censor people… but I love Adam, I think he's incredible."

As former Idols, themselves, would Reinhart or Sparks ever consider a judging gig?

"I do love to critique," said Reinhart. "There's a fine line with being harsh and yet telling them the truth, and I think if I was given the chance it would be a really, really cool opportunity."

But Sparks is singing a different tune.

"Nope. I can 100 percent say that I do not [want to judge]," Sparks exclaimed. "I would love to be a mentor, I think I would fit better on that side because it would be really hard for me to say, 'I'm sorry sweetie, that just wasn't good enough.' I don't know how I could say that because I remember standing there, so for me having gone through it, I don't know if I could put somebody else through that."

Not 24 hours after the Aurora, Colo. shooting that claimed the lives of 12 and left countless others injured, Playboy model, Tricia Evans, made a joke about the incident on Twitter.

"I heard the new Batman movie is really 'to die for'! Too soon?" she Tweeted.

Evans has been facing a barrage of outraged tweets from critics. One, in particular, from DJ, Deadmau5 is causing quite a stir.

He responded, "good to know. @Hollywood Tricia i seriously had no idea how big a piece of [explicit] you are. unfollowed."

Evans, who describes herself as a "controversial tweeter," in her bio, quickly attempted to defend her joke by referring to it as just an opinion, but Deadmau5 wouldn't accept Evan's excuse.

Tricia said "@deadmau5 Listen, apparently I have a different opinion than u. That doesn't make me a piece of shit."

To which he responded, "@HollywoodTricia so your opinion of the tragedy in Colorado is... "humor"? not sure how that's convoluted into an opinion."

According to the Huffington Post, since her heated interaction with the producer, Evans has tweeted a slew of messages regarding her joke about the Colorado shooting. She also retweeted some of the more vitriolic messages she received, which included death threats.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Deadmau5 boasts nearly 1.3 million followers on the micro-blogging site, while Evans has around 3,000.

Deadmau (real name: Joel Zimmerman) is no stranger to a social-media feud. Earlier this year, the EDM leader took on a much bigger fish when he scolded Madonna for what he perceived as her casual use of a slang term for the drug ecstasy from the stage at the Ultra Music Festival.

Back in March, the pop queen took the stage stage to introduce Swedish DJ Avicii, yelling to the crowd, "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?"

Tricia Evans, a former Playboy model and centerfold, made a much "too soon" joke on Friday in the aftermath of the Colorado shooting at the Batman premiere, prompting Deadmau5 to lambast the buxom blonde for her inappropriate joke.

The feud began on Friday when Evans tweeted about the shooting which claimed a dozen lives and many wounded when James Holmes open fired on the Century 16 theater in Aurora, Colorado screening a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises."

"I heard the new Batman movie is really 'to die for'!" Evans tweeted. "Too soon?"

That's when Canadian-born Joel Zimmerman of Deadmau5 stepped in.

"good to know @HollywoodTricia i seriously had no idea how big of a shit you are. Unfollowed," he wrote on Twitter in a post which has since been deleted.

Evans, who frequently tweets on controversial matters, fired back.

"Listen, apparently I have a different opinion than u. That doesn't make me a piece of shit," Evans wrote to deadmau5.

"@HollywoodTricia so your opinion of the tragedy in Colorado is... "humor"? not sure how that's convoluted into an opinion," deadmau5 wrote back.

Evans went on to defend herself countless times, posting various messages on Twitter to her 3,000+ followers.

"Most of the people I've heard from r walking, talking bags of shit & deadmau5 is the moral police. LOL."

But not everyone was quick to attack Evans for her "humor."

"it sure is cool how all you tough smart men are attacking @hollywoodtricia for daring to be a female model with an opinion," wrote Twitter user @hugbox, which was retweeted by Evans later.

Zimmerman of Deadmau5 eventually gave up lambasting Evans and instead sent his condolences to those who lost lives at the shooting.

"my thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families in Colorado during this most troublesome time. : such senselessness."

But this is certainly not Zimmerman's first Twitter feud either. Earlier this year, Deadmau5 called out Madonna for referencing a drug during her tour. Madge reported said, "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?" at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami in March. Social media users have responded forcefully to those attempting to make light of the Colorado shooting on social networking sites.

On Friday, Celeb Boutique, a U.K. based retailer, posted a tweet in response to the trending hashtag, #Aurora. The tweet, which has since been removed, read: "#Aurora is trending, clearly about our Kim K inspired #Aurora dress ;)"

Celeb Boutique was criticized for its insensitive remark and attempted to offer an apology.

"We didn't check what the trend was about hence the confusion, again we do apologise," the company wrote, followed by, "We are incredibly sorry for our tweet about Aurora - Our PR is NOT US based and had not checked the reason for the trend, at that time our social media was totally UNAWARE of the situation and simply thought it was another trending topic - we have removed the very insensitive tweet and will of course take more care in future to look into what we say in our tweets. Again we do apologise for any offense caused. This was not intentional & will not occur again. Our most sincere apologies for both the tweet and situation. - CB"

One pop diva will replace another on American Idol next season as Mariah revealed on Monday that she's signed on as a judge.

The deal was announced with showbiz flair at the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills during comments by Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly about the exodus of Idol judges.

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have both quit, while fellow judge Randy Jackson is said to be on the unhappy.

"We do, in fact, have one judge whose deal closed very, very recently," Reilly told reporters at the Beverly Hilton.
 
"It's an artist that many contestants have tried to emulate, have tried to have sung the songs, have tried to hit the notes and because it really was concluded only hours ago, our judge couldn't be with us."

He then put a phone call on speaker phone, and Mariah's voice could be heard by all.

"I am so excited to be joining Idol," she said. "First of all, I wanted to be there today and I wish I could've been there to tell you, but I think you know this all kind of just happened real quickly, so I can't wait to get started in a couple months."

Surprising? No. Repulsive? Hell, yeah. In recent days, we've seen the rise of numerous Facebook pages paying de facto tribute to James Holmes, the alleged Aurora theater massacre shooter.

Most of these efforts are being ignored, or close to it -- but one has collected hundreds of "likes" at this writing, as well as becoming a repository for memes that make light of slaughter.

A cursory Facebook search this morning turned up somewhere in the range of thirty pages minimum devoted to Holmes. Some of them are negative, like one titled "I Would Give Up Batman For James Holmes To Get The Death Penalty," but the majority appear to be focused on shock value, as witnessed by descriptions of Holmes as a "monarch," an "entertainer" and a "comedian" -- this last designation being among the most popular.

Many of these pages have attracted likes in the single digits, with a few in the forty or fifty range. However, the largest one I've found -- it was shared over the weekend by a clearly disgusted fan of the Westword Facebook page -- has 417 likes.

Most of the posts have been written in what the page's creator seems to believe is Holmes's authorial voice. Here's the latest:

I've been recapping "The Bachelorette" since 2003 and I can say with complete certainty that this has been my favorite season. Sure, I love certain characters from episodes of yore (be still my ever-loving Roberto, Ames and Reid heart) but for the first time in a long time, I actually ended the season with a feeling that I had been somewhat entertained each week instead of the usual, "Why does this show have to be two hours long when clearly 30 minutes could suffice?"

Perhaps I liked this year because of Emily's no nonsense attitude toward the traditional rules set forth by "Bachelor" nation. Maybe it was her Southern charm and integrity. It could have been her determination to actually take this reality show seriously for once by truly seeking out a connection that could spark a future relationship. I think she had viable candidates in both Arie and Jef and even though I agree with her father that you can't technically be in love with two people, I believe she did have genuine feelings for both. This reality, ironically, made for pretty good reality television.

Top Five Thoughts from the Finale

1. What's Up With the Random Studio Audience?
From the opening moments of the finale, we find Our Host Chris Harrison looking extremely debonaire in a black suit and pewter tie. Traditionally, Our Host is standing in front of either the entrance to Fancy Pants Resort & Spa or we just hear a generic voiceover anticipating the most dramatic rose ceremony ever in a velvety baritone. Instead, Chris is addressing an enthusiastic live studio audience with thought provoking questions such as, "Did you guys like that?" and "How hot is Arie?" It was confusing at first, but after Emily confides in Our Host that she doesn't need nor want a second meeting with Arie, we realize that Harrison is going to have to do some pretty fancy tap dancing to fill the gap left by an entire date, Neil Lane engagement ring session, video montage featuring a trip down memory lane and an almost proposal/rejection with Arie. Most of us would decide to cut the show down to one hour instead of featuring a woman named Potpourri quirkily suggest that Emily choose Arie so the rest of America can enjoy One F Jef. Chris' former Miss America hosting experience certainly came in handy during this "live" session.

2. Real Men Wear Pink
Jef convinces Emily that he is ready to meet Little Ricki on their last one-on-one date. They have an impromptu pool party and the moment Little Ricki let Jef borrow her pink swim goggles, I knew it was true love. When he allowed Little Ricki to push him in the pool, Ricki knew it was true love. And when Ricki asked her Mom if Jef could come back the next day, Emily knew it was true love. Ever the eternal rule-breaker, Emily goes rogue again, calls Harrison and straight up tells him that she has made up her mind and asks him politely to send the black SUV of doom to pick up Arie in the garden. Harrison, of course, makes her rip the Band-Aid herself and sends her to break the news.

3. Love Potion No. 9
Emily arrives in the flower garden where Arie has just concocted a love potion with the help of a very old Indian woman. He rubs the scented oil all over Emily's arms before she leads him to the notorious break-up bench. Though Botox has apparently permanently damaged her tear ducts, we know her crying is severe due to the choking and sobbing sounds she squeaks out even though zero liquid falls from her eyes. This goes on for a few minutes with Arie frantically asking, "What's wrong? What is it? Are you hurt? Did someone die?" The poor guy never once thought it was his fate that was being mourned at that moment. Somehow, Emily manages to convey, in a very indirect way, that she thinks he's perfect for her, yet not really. Confused, he sits there in a daze as she again clarifies that he's the one, except he's runner-up. Astounded by the realization that not only does his love potion not work, but that black SUV is waiting around for him, Arie bristles with a cold good-bye. It was a close call, but the ABC psychotherapist was not successful in making him cry.

2. The Most Ghetto Rose Ceremony Ever
Home Depot would like you to know that they did NOT sponsor the rose ceremony stage this season, and the limp ferns were purchased from the garden section of Lowes. For real? Clay pots, a splintery stage and some wilted flowers? And what was up with all the random swinging doors just laying up against the wall in the background? I'm convinced it was a secret sound stage in Los Angeles and all this took place after Emily and Jef dated for a few months before he proposed. Something was definitely shady about this whole scene because never in the history of the show has the engagement moment been so ugly. Perhaps the ABC intern got mono? Still ... it doesn't matter. You're on a beautiful island that no one can pronounce. I'm sure the beach would have been perfectly lovely with just the sand, surf and sunset. Am I right?

1. These Aren't Empty Words
One F Jef may be young, but he has the eloquence and maturity of an older, wiser Chris Harrison. His pre-proposal speech (and every other soliloquy for that matter) was simply perfect. After complementing his soon-to-be-bride, he gave props to the process which landed them in the current tacky environment and promised to give his heart and love to Emily and Little Ricki forever. And the entire country swooned together.

I may be going out on a very thin limb here, but I predict that this actually lasts. I know ABC is excited to pimp out an actual relationship that is healthy (besides Trista and Ryan) and one that seems to be bound for holy matrimony (we're still waiting JP and Ashley). But the club is hoping to shoot its profile into the stratosphere with its Club Cam System – a webcam and online chat room that will allow RNC-goers to meet the talent before they head to Tampa.

"Not only can you see the dancers on the stage and in the dressing room, you can also talk to them in an online chat room," club owner Don Kleinhans told WFLA.

Of course, the virtual experience doesn't come cheap. Customers are charged $4 a minute to chat, on top of a $19.95 monthly membership fee.

At least one dancer named Go Go is hoping for a fruitful long-distance correspondence between Tampa Bay and the nation's capital.

"Guys I meet online feel like we have a relationship," Go Go told the station. "If someone came to town, you only had them the short amount of time … and then you had to part ways. And that was it. Now you can still make money off them."

The show seems to be building toward the ultimate battle between vampires and humans, though if the show continues another four seasons, as Michael McMillian aka Steve Newlin told Speakeasy earlier this week, we are curious why the showdown is happening now.

What We Enjoyed

The return of Russell. Bill and Eric are offered the chance to join Salome, Nora and Russell in their new vampire club. They decline and stress peaceful coexistence. We are more convinced than ever that the show's writers are secretly hoping to influence the Mideast peace process.

Later, after sipping Lilith's sacrosanct blood, the entire Authority is hopped up as though on LSD and is marching through the streets, ready to drain some humans. It looks as though with that single sip, the mainstreaming manifesto has gone out the window and there's a whole new reason for being in town. To be fair, we assume most world leaders probably make political decisions after nights like this. "You need to worry about you," says Russell, moments before chomping down. Denis O'Hare is perfection.

Sookie's dilemma. Struggling with whether or not to deplete her magic on purpose so she can be a regular human is a good touch.

Jason gets to have funny lines again! "Plug her in and charge her back up," he puts in earnestly after Sookie's magic seems to drain away. Then, later, "I don't know how to make lunch so I made you breakfast instead." Excellent, us too.

Hoyt and Jessica, Part 578. Hoyt clearly does not hate Jessica Hamby, but says he does anyway, because he's in initiation mode with his new fraternity friends.

Alcide and new hot werewolf = much better couple than him and Sookie.

Oh dear, Tara is a on a pole. And then her mother walks in. Just like John Goodman discovering Piper Perabo mid-strut down the bar in "Coyote Ugly." Pam looks on with what seems like approval. There's a warm and tender moment between the two before Pam realizes she just looks like Vampire Malibu Barbie without actually being Vampire Malibu Barbie.

"True Blood" getting nostalgic for itself with Arlene's wedding video. Lafayette and Jesus are still together, as are Jess and Hoyt. Aw. We miss how things used to be, too, Alan Ball.

What the Show Needs to Work On

Throughout every season, the show has been very consistent on where exactly evil and intolerance lie: in the trailers and convenience stores of lower income, less educated folks. We think the writers need to be reminded that evil is just as often perpetrated in carpeted, well-lighted offices by men and women with cut fingernails, to paraphrase C.S. Lewis. In other words, hunting those who are different from themselves is not exclusive to the realm of the downtrodden. Bigotry is everywhere, even and perhaps especially among the upper class and well educated.

Nora is annoying. It's like she's just memorized her lines in a ninth grade play.

We are still struggling to care about Lafayette's plot line, with his venturing back into the magical world he so desperately wants to leave behind.

Steve Newlin needs more airtime, please.

As Jonah Falcon attempted to go through security at San Francisco
International Airport he was clearly packing a weapon of mass
destruction. However, the only thing the 41-year-old was concealing

However, Falcon's large package recently got him in trouble; as he was
attempting to get through SF airport security, he claims a younger
official seemed to be at angst over his "very noticeable" penis and
translated it as a threat of biological proportions.

was also extensively searched by TSA officials.

"I said, 'It's my
dick,'" Falcon said according to the Huffington Post. "He gave me a

found it amusing."

Falcon has had to suffer in the past in other areas of his life too;
in a previous report by Sphere, it was revealed that he was finding it
difficult to get a job. The difficult situation meant he had to move
back home to live with him mom - also meaning he probably had to keep
his gun in his pants more often as well.

He has previously worked as a video game reviewer and has done part
time acting as well. However, one of the first things that come into
people's mind when they find out about his record-sized manhood, and

Brooklynite Jonah Falcon, owner of the world's longest recorded penis, was stopped by federal security agents, while flying from San Francisco to New York on July 9, the Huffington Post reported Monday.

Falcon, 41, measures up at over a foot.

He said he wasn't excited over the unwanted attention, but airport guards suspician's were aroused over the appearance of a possible security threat. Turns out it's legal to have a weapon of mass conception at the airport.

Jonah Falcon was stopped and frisked by the TSA at the San Francisco International Airport on July 9 because of a bulging package hidden in his pants. But the 41-year-old New Yorker wasn't packing a dirty bomb, drugs or a Costco-sized tube of toothpaste. The New Yorker has the world's largest recorded penis.

In an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post, Falcon described his hard times with security guards after his extra carry-on became suspect.

"I had my 'stuff' strapped to the left. I wasn't erect at the time," said Falcon, whose penis is 9 inches flaccid, 13.5 inches erect. "One of the guards asked if my pockets were empty and I said, 'Yes.'"

Falcon said he knew that his interview was about to get a lot more personal when he was led through one of the X-ray body scanners and passed a metal detector.

"Another guard stopped me and asked me if I had some sort of growth," Falcon said, laughing.

Indeed he did have a growth.

By the age of 18, Falcon knew he had something special when his manhood reached a whopping 12 inches. His family jewel was hailed as the world's largest on record after an HBO documentary featured him in 1999. The Guinness Book of World Records does not record such feats, but Falcon did show his standout feature to Huffington Post Executive Crime/Weird News Editor Buck Wolf.

Hours after news broke of a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., the photographs started circulating - images of a pretty, red-haired woman with a big smile on her face.

Jessica Redfield, a young sports broadcaster/blogger from Texas who was an intern at a Denver radio station, was one of the 12 people killed in the shooting. Redfield (whose given last name was Ghawi) loved hockey, writing and social media. Her brother, Jordan, confirmed her death on Twitter and his personal blog early Friday morning.

"Remember that smile and … what she could have done," Jordan Ghawi told KUSA in Denver. Ghawi said he and his parents are devastated over a shooting that seems "completely senseless at this time."

Just over a month ago, Redfield survived a shooting that killed one person on the site and left a handful of other people wounded in the Eaton Centre mall in Toronto. Redfield reflected on her near-death experience on her blog, writing, "I can't get this odd feeling out of my chest. This empty, almost sickening feeling won't go away. … It's hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting."

She said that she chose a burger over sushi and then decided to go outside to get fresh air because she had a strange feeling. Had she not gone out, she would have been standing in the food court during the shooting.

"I was shown how fragile life was," Redfield wrote. "I saw the terror on bystanders' faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don't know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath. … I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted.

"Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given."

When asked about Redfield's final blog entry, former colleague Joe Kinsey spoke slowly.

"It's hard to fathom that she experienced that and then this happened," Kinsey said, swallowing. "It's almost like she was writing about her own death. The thing to remember is she only wrote two pieces on that blog. One was the first hockey post that I ever saw and the other one was the tragedy in Toronto. It's unreal to think that that is what she left. It boggles my mind."

Kinsey, the editor-in-chief of sports/entertainment site BustedCoverage.com, said Redfield contributed to his site, writing mostly about hockey. Kinsey learned of Redfield's passing early Friday morning through social media.

"I saw somebody had retweeted a message that Jessica Ghawi had died, aspiring sportscaster," Kinsey said. "I was like, 'OK I need to look that up.' I need to see who this person was. When I did a Google search, I just couldn't believe it. I was literally shaking."

Redfield moved to Denver a year ago and had been interning for 104.3 The Fan. She was also an intern for the You Can Play Project, an LGBT organization that supported fairness and equality in the locker room. She also worked with local sports teams to donate gear to families who lost their belongings in recent wildfires, her brother and friends said.

"She knew how important it was to serve other people and make them happy," said MC/announcer Mike Lavender, who first met Redfield during the San Antonio Rampage's 2009-10 season. "If she was around, it was always a good time. There was always a smile. I've never seen her down or with her head in the sand.

"She had a good heart and a good soul, truly."

Said Jordan Ghawi: "She conveyed passion and inspired people to do great things. … She wanted to help, and that's the type of heart she had. That's the type of person she was."

Lavender describes Redfield as a young journalist destined to succeed because she excelled at networking and cared deeply about her craft. Kinsey remembers Redfield as a driven journalist who aspired to work in TV.

"There are very few times on the Internet that you come across people who are genuine," he said. "She was."

Said Lavender: "She (was) just a sports nut, not just one of those girls who pretends to like sports so that she seems cool and guys dig her. She truly loved sports, with hockey being her passion. … She was tenacious and vivacious."

Jordan Ghawi said his parents are home in San Antonio beginning their grieving process. He's trying to keep the focus on celebrating Redfield's life instead of on the suspected shooter, 24-year-old James Holmes.

"It's hard to think, seeing that face, knowing this is the person that's taken away my sister's life," Ghawi said. "Focusing on that isn't going to do me any good. It's a celebration, it's moving forward and getting on and doing something to remember my sister."
